The smell has never been so horrid and the cookies have never been so sweet in Andy's kitchen. On August 6th 2010 we filmed the intro/outro to our first DFS episode. We had written a script which had Ian attempting one of the biggest acting roles of his career, and to get warmed up he decided to whip up a batch of cookies for the crew. Upon hearing the ingredients of the "Gutoksie Paprika Chocolate Chip Cookies" Kevin decided that we should film the process, just in case the cookies turned out better than Ian's acting performance.

Well...Ian's acting was spot on and we'll use that footage at a different time, but the cookies...ahh the cookies were majestic. Don't get me wrong, the smell set off the fire alarm. But just to have been able to take a bite of a recipe that has been handed down for generations made my day. The timer ran out and we needed to leave that heavenly cloud of a kitchen that Ian had constructed out of simple household ingredients. We were on our way to meet Koechner. And Koechner was expecting us...
