David Koechner held a knife to Ian's throat during what we thought was an interview on August 6th 2010.



He told us to meet him at his hotel room in Orlando because he was doing a show at the Orlando Improv later that night. We arrived at the hotel room and knocked on the door. David appeared from around the corner pushing a cleaning cart and wearing what looked like a maid's smock. The vibe was bad from the very beginning. When asked if the room was indeed his, David asked if Ian had a problem doing the interview while he "cleaned" a few rooms. Ian, knowing that we had already driven 10 minutes to get to the hotel decided to not waste our time and continue with the interview, a decision he will undoubtedly regret for the rest of his adult life.



Apparently "cleaning" in David Koechner's vocabulary is very different from the Merriam Webster Dictionary's definition. Trust us, we looked it up. After an experience inside the hotel room of which we can not talk about until after the trial, David and Ian went their separate ways after David held a knife to Ian's throat. No one was hurt and that is the most important thing. DFS' experience with David Koechner will air after the State conducts its official investigation of the incident, we'll keep you posted on the progress.
